Continue to Push for Israeli Accountability in Gaza

Dear Global Exchange Supporter,

Following Israel’s atrocious three-week war on Gaza, and the subsequent outpouring of support for the Gazan people, the Obama administration has taken some steps towards holding Israel accountable for its misuse of U.S. weapons to commit human rights abuses against Palestinians.

Last Thursday, President Obama sent his budget outline to Congress with no mention of military aid to Israel. On Monday, Secretary of State Clinton pledged $300 million in aid for Gaza’s reconstruction.

While these recent developments do not promise to create a seismic shift towards stopping military aid to Israel, they do indicate small, yet positive, steps towards a changing U.S. relationship with Israel–perhaps marking a small shift away from our government’s unconditional support of Israeli aggression.

As campuses and local communities around the world take action for the 5th Annual Israeli Apartheid Week, help us capitalize on these steps by getting involved and educating your community.

Take Action!

Thank President Obama for not including military aid to Israel in his budget. Encourage him to work for the implementation of human rights and international law in Palestine and Israel.
